Role Overview

As a Data Engineer at Partao, you will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing search & fitment data, and developing AI-powered solutions for our growing catalog of 10M+ SKUs. You will work closely with engineering, AI, and product teams to ensure data is clean, efficient, and ready to power our marketplace.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process large-scale e-commerce data (product catalogs, fitment, pricing, etc.).
• Optimize and structure search & fitment data to enhance customer experience.
• Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions to support AI-driven analytics and search.
• Work with AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, etc.) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate predictive models into the data pipeline.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met.
• Improve database performance, indexing, and query optimizations in MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or ClickHouse.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Spark.
• Experience with cloud data solutions (AWS preferred, but GCP or Azure is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with ETL, data pipelines, and big data processing.
• Knowledge of relational (MariaDB, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving mindset for handling large datasets and optimizing performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with e-commerce data, search algorithms, or AI-powered solutions.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, ClickHouse, etc.).
• Experience integrating data with AI/ML workflows.
