Kubota E:9309 – Engine ECU: Engine exhaust temperature (DPF outlet) is not as specified.
Fehlerbeschreibung
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is failing to reach or maintain the required exhaust temperatures necessary for proper operation or active regeneration. When the exhaust does not get hot enough, soot cannot be burned off, which can eventually lead to engine derating or a clogged DPF.

Ursache prüfen
Check the fuel level to ensure the machine has adequate, clean diesel fuel.
Inspect the fuel filter to see if it is clogged, as a restricted fuel supply lowers combustion temperatures.
Inspect the air intake system to see if any air-intake hose is disconnected, cracked, or leaking.
Inspect the air cleaner element to check if the primary or secondary air filters are clogged with dust or debris.
Verify the DPF Thermo 2 (outlet) temperature sensor is not sending incorrect data to the ECU.

Service the Air Intake System
Open the rear engine compartment and locate the air cleaner housing. Inspect all rubber intake hoses connecting the air cleaner to the engine. Tighten any loose hose clamps and reconnect any disconnected hoses. Remove the outer (primary) and inner (secondary) air filter elements. If they are dirty or clogged, replace both filters. (Do not blow them out with compressed air if heavily soiled, as this can damage the filter media).
Service the Fuel System
Locate the main fuel filter/water separator assembly. Place a catch pan beneath the filter. Remove the old fuel filter cartridge or spin-on filter. Install a new OEM fuel filter, ensuring the seals are lubricated and properly seated. Bleed the fuel system according to your specific model's manual to remove air from the lines.
Replace the DPF Outlet Temperature Sensor
If filters do not fix the issue, locate the DPF exhaust temperature sensor (Thermo 2 position) on the outlet side of the DPF canister. Disconnect the sensor's wiring harness connector (inspecting the pins for corrosion). Using a wrench, unthread the old sensor (M12 metric thread) from the exhaust pipe. Thread in the new sensor, tighten to spec, and plug in the connector.
Clear Codes and Test
Turn the machine on and allow it to reach operating temperature. If the code does not clear automatically, a dealer may need to clear the code and initiate a forced DPF regeneration via Kubota diagnostic software to verify the outlet temperature reaches the specified range.
